A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

An adaptaion of a classic children's book of the same name. The game follows Ching, a little boy who is afraid of the dark as he tries to keep the lights in his home up to ward off the shadows the lurk within while waiting for his mother to return.

Will Ching finally face his fears, or will he succumb to it?

Install instructions

Extract the game in a folder. Simple!

Though, do make sure you extract it in an empty folder. You don't want the files to be all over the place.

Windows:

Double click on "Ching.exe" to play the game.

If you can't open the game, then uh... make a bug report.

Linux:

Double click on "Ching.x86_64" to play the game.

If you can't open the game, you must set its executable permissions first. The simplest way of doing it is right-clicking the executable and find the option to make it an executable. It's different for every Desktop Environment. For example, in KDE Plasma (Steam Deck's DE) it's located in the "Permissions" tab, under "Access Permission" tick "Is executable".

Alternatively, you can use the terminal and cd into the game folder and type "chmod +x Ching.x86_64" in the terminal.
